Sending samples from within the European Community

There are no restrictions on sending turf samples (and associated rootzone material) for analysis of disease or pest problems, to The Turf Disease Centre, from any country within the European Community.  

Please ensure that samples are sent by the quickest means possible to avoid deterioration of the samples in the post.

 

Sending samples from elsewhere in the world

Samples of turf can now be sent to The Turf Disease Centre for analysis from ANY country.  

If you are sending samples for analysis from outside the EC, please print the 'Letter of Authority' from the link below, complete the required details and attach it securely to the outside of your parcel so that it is clearly visible to UK Customs. 

If you do not attach this document, your samples MAY be held up in UK Customs and arrive in an unsuitable condition for accurate disease analysis

Please note that samples received by The Turf Disease Centre will be disposed of immediately following analysis. 

Under no circumstance will it be possible for any part of the samples received,  to be forwarded to any other laboratory, either in the UK or elsewhere in the world, following their analysis at The Turf Disease Centre.
